On the morning of March 19, the establishment meeting of the Europe and America Alumni Association (Overseas Students' Fellowship) of TAL Education Group, hereinafter referred to as the Europe and America Alumni Association of TAL Education, was held at the headquarters of TAL Education Group in Beijing. TAL Education became the first education company to establish a Europe and America Alumni Association. Yan Ying, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Wang Pijun, Secretary of the Party Group and Secretary-General of the European and American Alumni Association (China Overseas Students' Fellowship), attended the meeting and delivered speeches, affirming TAL Education's various work and expressing hopes for the next steps. Yu Li, Secretary of the Party Committee of TAL Education Group and President of Smart Education, presided over the meeting and introduced the party building work of TAL Education.

Yu Li presided over the establishment meeting and first introduced the party building work of TAL Education. TAL Education has always attached great importance to the construction of the Party and united front, and mass work. The first party branch was established in 2014 and later upgraded to a Party Committee. Currently, the company has 6,283 party members, accounting for 19% of the total number of employees. There are 1,163 party members serving as leaders at all levels in the company, and there are 33 party organizations in 20 cities across the country. Since its establishment, the Party Committee of TAL Education has led all party members and the masses in the study, publicity, and implementation of Xi Jinping's ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and vigorously improving the sense of identity of company members and employees with the organization, thereby comprehensively enhancing the "soft power" of the company's development.

As the newly elected President of the TAL Education Europe and America Alumni Association, Wan Yiting introduced the preparation of the alumni association. From July of last year to the present, under the guidance of the Beijing Europe and America Alumni Association, TAL Education overseas students, through full deliberation, inspection, and elections, with the approval of the Party Committee of TAL Education Group, have elected a president, vice president, secretary general, deputy secretary general, and 45 directors. Next, the TAL Education Europe and America Alumni Association will serve the overseas students of the group with the values of achieving customer value, drive innovation, build internal and external cooperation and exchange platforms for overseas students, and lead the overseas students to solve practical problems with a pragmatic view.

In his speech, Zhang Bangxin introduced the development of TAL Education. He pointed out that the mission of TAL Education is to promote education progress with technology. In 2018, TAL Education established a research and development center overseas in Silicon Valley, becoming a bridgehead to attract overseas talents and students. Among the more than 30,000 employees of TAL Education, overseas students are a valuable resource. The establishment of the TAL Education Europe and America Alumni Association is of great significance for the group to further guide, manage, and serve the returnees and overseas students. TAL Education will continue to adhere to the leadership of the Party, give full play to the overseas student talent pool, provide counsel to the group, and serve as a think tank for people-to-people diplomacy. He hoped that more overseas talents with a passion for contributing to the country's education would be willing to contribute to promoting education fairness in the motherland with love and technology.

Wang Pijun, on behalf of the European and American Alumni Association (China Overseas Students' Fellowship) and President Chen Zhu, warmly congratulated the conference. In her speech, Wang Pijun suggested that the European and American Alumni Association has organized a series of colorful and popular activities at all levels and through various organizations, to build a hierarchical and classified platform for overseas students to love and contribute to the country, innovate and create, and display their talents at home and abroad. The association has seen an increase in awareness, reputation, attractiveness, and cohesiveness, with the contribution of TAL Education Group. The establishment of the TAL Education Europe and America Alumni Association is an important practice for TAL Education Group to actively implement the requirements of the Central Committee and the Beijing Municipal Committee, respond to the desire of overseas students to be part of the organization, and play an important role in setting an example for state-owned and private enterprises in the capital area to carry out work for overseas students. Wang Pijun also made three suggestions for the future work of the TAL Education Europe and America Alumni Association: first, to strengthen ideological guidance, inherit the glorious tradition of studying abroad and contributing to our country, consciously integrate patriotic feeling, ambition to rejuvenate the country, and action to serve the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the construction of a modern socialist power; second, to give full play to the advantages of overseas students around the central work, leverage the talents, technology, mechanisms, and other advantages of TAL Education in education practice, contribute to the reform and development of our country's education, and tell the story of China's education in the process of accelerating the internationalization of the group; third, to strengthen self-construction, create a warm home for overseas students, and use various platforms with warmth and aspirations to gather the wisdom and strength of overseas students in the new era, and make greater contributions with more outstanding innovations and creations to meet the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, embodying the group of overseas students who are worthy of the era and making active efforts to continue the development of the European and American Alumni Association.

Yan Ying affirmed TAL Education's work in promoting education fairness and balanced development with technology and in Party building. She pointed out that as a national high-tech enterprise and internet enterprise, TAL Education Group has made remarkable achievements in leading enterprise development through Party building, enhancing the cohesion of Party organizations, and building Party building brands. The establishment of the TAL Education Europe and America Alumni Association is a sign that the enterprise's Party building has taken a new step. In her speech, Yan Ying required the TAL Education Europe and America Alumni Association to use Xi Jinping's socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era to build consensus, enhance the "four-consciousness," firm up "four self-confidence," and achieve "two safeguards." It should play an organizational role in serving the enterprise, overseas students, and the development of the capital. It should effectively strengthen its own construction, build a brand for the overseas students' work of the enterprise, and strengthen institutional construction to provide solid guarantees for the overseas students' cause.
