"I am a good future public welfare person Liu Xinya, I am in Beijing, I am willing to join the 'Blue Action', with One Foundation, and good future together to create an obstacle-free social environment for children with autism in terms of education, employment, and mobility".
At the age of 29, Liu Xinya, with a blue wristband wrapped around his head, a sticker on his chest reading "Let love come, let obstacles go," raised his left hand, and loudly declared in front of the camera.
On April 2nd—World Autism Awareness Day, 2253 good future employees across the country responded in a similar manner. They faced the camera individually, speaking out to ensure a smooth path for autistic children in terms of education, employment, and movement.
This is Good future's participation in One Foundation's "Blue Action". As a partner in the education sector, Good Future promised to donate a behavior training course for autistic children for every 10 employees who recorded, as stipulated, and uploaded thematic videos from 8 am to 24 am on April 2. Added to the earlier caring for autism project, Good Future has cumulatively donated 300 behavior training courses.
Spreading love: 29-year-old employee acquainted with the truth about autism for the first timeEarly in the morning, when Liu Xinya, a designer at Good Future Group, entered the company, he noticed a blue roll-up on the front desk. Because of the busy work, he didn't pay attention to what was written on it.
During lunch time, a colleague returned to the office wearing a blue wristband. As a symbol of Good Future's public welfare, this new blue immediately caught everyone's attention. Everyone was informed that Good future was holding a public welfare event—recording a thematic video would result in a donation course for autistic children!
It was then that Liu Xinya remembered the roll-up he passed in the morning. He only had a vague idea about autism - "It's probably a communication disorder."
However, this did not diminish Liu Xinya's enthusiasm for public welfare. He and his friends rushed to the service point, where they learned the details of the event through the roll-up and explanations from the volunteers. They were informed that, from 8 am to 24 am on April 2, every 10 Good Future employees who wore the "Good Future Public Welfare Blue Wristband" and the "Let Love Come, Let Obstacles Go" themed sticker, and recorded a video saying the thematic slogan, and uploaded it to the Good Future public welfare platform "Public Welfare Map," Good Future Public Welfare Foundation would donate a behavioral training course for autistic children. The standard slogan for the video had nearly 70 words, and Liu Xinya, fearing of making a mistake, handwritten a draft back at his desk. At first, he wanted to wear the wristband on his hand, but at the suggestion of everyone, he wrapped the wristband around his forehead like a headband, and placed the sticker on his chest. Facing three mobile phones filming simultaneously, this big boy made two NGs due to nervousness. Until the third time, he finally completed the recording.
Liu Xinya's "Blue Action" is not complete yet, he still needs to upload the video to the "Public Welfare Map". The public welfare map is a platform for public welfare activities for Good Future employees nationwide.
It was through the introduction page of the Public Welfare Map that 29-year-old Liu Xinya clearly understood autism for the first time: Autism is a developmental disorder, characterized by a lack of social, communication skills, narrow interests, and stereotyped behavior.
"So autism is a developmental disorder," Liu Xinya marveled.
Blue Action: Over 2000 videos uploaded in 16 hoursWhen Liu Xinya was busy recording the video, Xiao Yuqi, an English teacher from Morikilai Department of Good Future, was busy promoting the "Blue Action" to her colleagues at the Good Future Group headquarters as a volunteer.
As the public face and volunteer of the event, before 8 am, she and her other colleagues arrived at the service point, ready to promote the activity during peak morning, noon, and evening hours, and distribute wristbands and stickers to participants.
Blue star-shaped balloons floated in the air, and promotional videos for the care of autistic children were played in a loop on the large TV screens of the Good Future Group headquarters. By 8 am, more employees arrived at the company, and upon seeing these scenes, many of them immediately indicated their willingness to participate in the discussion after learning about the event. Indeed, some department heads led their entire team to participate in the event.
"Many colleagues were shy in front of the camera, so they chose to shoot and upload the video privately,” said Xiao Yuqi.
Man Chao, the head of corporate social responsibility at Good Future, said that in addition to high-ranking executives and employees from Good Future headquarters, there were also partners from educational products and business units such as Xueersi, Aizhikang, Morikilai, Xueersi Online School, Shunshun Overseas Study, and the technical team.
