On April 8th, UNESCO signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China's TAL Education Group at its headquarters in Paris, lasting for three years. The two parties will jointly implement the "AI promoting future education" plan to support educational development.

Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education at UNESCO, Tian Xuejun, Deputy Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Education, and Wu Shanshan, Vice President of TAL Education Group, attended the signing ceremony.

In May this year, the Chinese Ministry of Education, UNESCO, the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, and the Beijing Municipal Government will co-host an international conference on artificial intelligence and education in Beijing. According to the cooperation agreement, TAL Education Group will be a supporting unit for the conference. More than 500 government officials, experts, scholars, and practitioners from around the world will discuss innovations and practices of artificial intelligence technology in the field of education. UNESCO and TAL Education Group will also co-host a thematic seminar on "AI and future learning," inviting experts and scholars to discuss how artificial intelligence can promote future educational development, facilitate international educational cooperation, and technological revolution.

Giannini stated that technology and artificial intelligence play an important role in promoting educational development and have become a hot topic globally. UNESCO values and looks forward to strategic cooperation with Chinese enterprises to jointly explore the development of artificial intelligence technology in the field of education.

Wu Shanshan said that TAL Education Group looks forward to further exploring the "technology + education" boundary and integrating more cutting-edge technologies through strategic cooperation with UNESCO, promoting the integration and innovation of domestic and international education, and practicing the corporate mission of using technology to promote educational progress.
